Would wrapping your horse's legs protect from rattlesnake bites?
I've started going on the trail, and just recently encountered a 2-3ft long western rattlesnake, and I am now very worried that my horse might get bitten in the leg by a rattlesnake. So, I have Polo Wraps, and neoprene Sport Boots and Bell Boots, but my question is, would wearing them defend my horse's legs from a rattler bite? If not, what would?
Also, what would protect me while hiking on the trail if a snake were to strike out at me?
