Do understand that your horse learns new things with repetition. The best techniques are the ones that had gone through the test of time. These methods are as old as the hill but every bit as effective today just as they were in the old times. Natural horsemanship is all about effective communication between you and your equine. That skill can only be improved by understanding horsemanship history and equine psychology. Knowing these things iscrucial for achieving perfect training methods and practical skills. In other words, study, understand, and use the equine's language for you become a triumphant horseman.

Things to keep in mind when training the horse:

Natural horsemanship is all about training without the use of force or negative reinforcement. The key is to use persuasive language in a gentle manner. World renowned horse journalist, Laura Hillenbrand, asserts this method.
There is a solution to every horsemanship problem. It is up to you as the trainer to discover these solutions. You also become a better person as you make your horse a better follower.
If the horse is not taking action properly, the problem is the methods or techniques you are using.
As much as possible, avoid unhealthy "Pride of Ownership".
Do not immerse yourself too much in training how to ride. Learning how to understand and use the horse's language should be paramount. Mastering first things first will make the riding aspect absolutely easier.
Equines naturally have ‘herd mentality'. They are naturally afraid because they are considered ‘prey species'. They tend to group together to increase their chances of survival. Knowing this extensively will considerably help your training efforts.
Equines mainly use body language to communicate within the herd. Body language and signals are crucial when communicating with the horse. Master this aspect and anything is possible with your horse.
Body positioning mainly includes head carriage (how the horse carries his head). A head carried low indicates submission while a head raised high signals irritation or danger or refusal to focus or cooperate.

Always remember to be gentle but firm. Your horse may also sense weakness therefore, from time to time, express your dominance without, of course, hurting your equine. There so many things to learn. Just be patient and soon, you and your horse will reap the rewards only natural horsemanship can provide.

Empowering the girl-child through education

‘If you educate a man, you educate an individual. If you educate a woman, you educate a nation.'(Kwegyir Aggrey) Over two thirds of the world's illiterate are women. Larry Summers, President Obama's chief economic adviser, has asserted, "Educating girls yields a higher rate of return than any other investment we can make in the developing world. Most of the problems girls' faces have resulted from the absence of a girls and women friendly society with policies, laws and socio-economic structures that promote and protect girls' and women's rights.

To ensure such a society and ensure the eradication and minimization of obstacles that hinder the development and empowerment of the girls and women, use the advocacy and lobby program as the "mouthpiece" of the girl child and women. The following activities: Lobbying policy and law makers to formulate, amend and implement policies and laws that protect the girls and women, including those that address issues of gender equality and equity, HIV/AIDS, orphan care, sexual offenses, Child/Victim Friendly Court structures, and harmful traditional and religious practices.

Girls are generally ignored in Ghanaian society in making their career. They are given secondary preference because boys are considered as would be earning member of family. Today, in many families are changing their views but girls are still suffering discrimination and they are deprived of getting higher education. Why there is a need to educate girls? Investing in girls' education is one of the most effective ways to reduce poverty. Investments in secondary school education for girls yield especially high dividends.

Girls who have been educated are likely to marry later and to have smaller and healthier families. Educated women can recognize the importance of health care and know how to seek it for themselves and their children. Education helps girls and women to know their rights and to gain confidence to claim them. Girls after marriage are the backbone of the family. They must have to provide excellent facilities for education to make their family stronger. They can support kids in studies and can provide educational environment to shape bright career of kids.

Another important factor is that they must be recognized as valuable member of society if they are well educated. They can solve many problems in odd circumstances related to health, finance. Some advanced families are taking wise step in favor of girls. Girls are not confined to house in their families. Parents who have are extrovert, have rebuffed conventional belief and taking initiative to improve the status of girls through providing good education and better facilities so that girls utilize their hidden talent and succeed in their educational realm. Parents must have to be very alert and think for the betterment of their daughter. If they do not make strong their daughter, she will get failure in life and ultimately parents will be sad to see her in troubled situation.

Changeover in attitude of parents for their daughter will be highly favorable for girls because future generation will be stronger which will make healthy society. Let form clubs in schools and communities to be the rightful platform for girls to realize their full potential and to stand against all atrocities targeted at them and also the heart and creative center of the organization. The clubs must create space and a time for girls to meet, have conversations, ask questions about issues affecting them and work together and with supportive adults to come up with solutions.

The program takes girls through five stages of empowerment, which are: needs identification, mobilizing to break the silence on rape and abuse, formulating and articulating strategies, confidence building and leadership development, active participation in self and community development.

What would you say is the most attractive dress size for a tall woman?

I'm 5'10 and I'm trying to get down to a size 8 (which I think is a US size 4? Maybe 6.) would you say that was too thin for my height (baring in mind I still want curves lol)

That's definitely too small for your height...

I'm 5ft 8 and a size 10 (not US size), and I've got curves, and yet have a good enough body.
I think either a size 10 or 12 would be good. It won't look big because of your height. I always think they're perfect sizes for women.

Two straps I like the most

I am a serious lover of strap. I often wear a strap since most of my pants and trousers require a strap. So, I build up my own preference for a strap since I always think a strap should fit with my pants or shoes. Meanwhile, I am a little different. It may be because I care so much about selecting a good one. Generally speaking, I can not tell you what a specific strap I would like the best if you ask me what my favorite one is. However, I really do have my own preference and criterion for selecting a range of straps.

I usually like black, chestnut or brown strap with steel, gold or silver buckle since it may fit in well with a variety of costumes and occasions. More importantly, it can also better present an image as a professional man. Sometimes, I am quite into a strap with a novel design or a hugely-sized buckle. I still can remember a strap made by Union from the U.S. which is a gift from a friend of mine. It is made of thick leather dyed in the original plant coloring matter. With ¡°Union¡±logo printed on the strap and patterns engraved by professional sculptors, it presents a texture in a pure American taste. This strap is equipped with a gold needle buckle which gives a stronger historic sense. This is the strap that impressed me the most. The pity is that I lost it during the course of moving to my new house. Even though I tried my best to find it back, I still can not find it.

I also have another strap I like very much too. It is a blue net-like strap emitting an elegant and sporty feeling. The mesh made of different materials looks like a roller. The buttons wrapped in the strap have been incorporated into one piece. Moreover, its size can be changed as you want. It easily goes with any short jacket or coat.

It is not easy to find a strap I like very much. Once I found one, I would love to wear it every single day.

it will be fine. just make sure that it's securly in place. i put a surcingle on over the top to stop it sliding.
