Montana Silver? How Much Is It Worth?

I have a beautiful bridle at home and it has Montana Silver on it I heard it is rare I mean want to get rid of it but if it is worth a lot maybe I would consider keeping it and using it....PLEASE HELP!

Montana Silver is sometimes expensive and sometimes not. depends on the make and how much silver there is and of what quality. You should keep it, if anything you can hang in in your home as decoration, and you always need extra headstalls. who knows, something may break or you may ride in a show or a parade or something where you will want to wear something like that. Keep it. If you can't really tell, you'd hate to find out you got rid of a $300 bridle for $25. I only have 2 horses but I have enough sets of horse tack for 6 horses, just to be safe and things are always getting lost or breaking or wearing down. keep it, keep it, keep it!!! How much space does a bridle take up? not much!!! lol

How do you attach name plates to your horse tack?

I purchased name plates (for my bridle, martingale, and saddle) and don't know how to attach them to my tack. The saddle screws are different from the other two. I need any help I can get. I know that for the bridle and martingale I need to punch holes in the leather, but I don't know much else. Please help!

The best advice that I can give you is ; take the plates plus your saddlery to your local saddler and ask him/her to do it for you. It wont cost much and you get a good job.

ATHEISTS: I just spent 5 hours trying to locate a magic golden bridle to tame a Unicorn?

showmanship in hand w/ a halfinger pony?

ok at the barn that i'm at, i ride saddleseat and i before i was riding huntseat then western, i was hopeing to get back into showman ship because i had loads of fun with that and the horse that i'm hopeing to show in showman ship is a little halflinger pony, i was also wondering how i could get him to set and teach him hw to pivot. and when i did shownaship in hand Hunt Seat i wore my english habit and my horse wore an English Bridle, for this would i just wear my vest tie jods and boots and what would my pony wear headgear wise?

I would think perhaps your Haflinger would wear a halter of some kind, (maybe the fancy western ones with the Silver Trim). I'm not really sure since I don't show that with my Haffie, and I'm not sure if you're specifically talking about a Western showmanship class solely for Haflingers or an open Western Showmanship class with all sorts of breeds.

The place to ask might be the YahooGroup for HaflingerFriends. I'm pretty sure there's some people who compete in showmanship with their Haflingers.

How much is a Bit and bridle?

Hi, I was wondering how much a bit and bridle was and does the reins come with the bridle??? 10 points best answer!
In USA and I'm an English Rider
I don't know what Bit I want yet. is there any that you recommend?

In US- price varies- you can get a cheap Western Bridle, with reins and a mild bit for $30 or so.
English- cheapest I have found is $20 for a bridle and reins (most are in the $40s), bits run about $15 or so at the cheapest.
Prices can go up to hundreds of dollars depending on the quality that you want.

Check for deals on the internet or at horse fairs.
