Saddle Up For a Great Ride
Every horse rider knows that the only way for him/her to get a good ride is if by treating the horse right. Some horses have extremely sensitive backs and you have to be aware of this when you saddle them up. The saddle should be a perfect fit each time. For this of course you need the finest fitting numnahs or saddlepads.
These numnahs are made with very soft British wool and can be used right through the year. The fit is excellent and the best kind of protection is provided to the horse. These are durable and very smart in looks. Some of these saddlepads have been designed specially for the occasions when the horse has to be ridden over large distances or long periods. Some of the numnahs are meant especially for the horses that have very sensitive backs. How do you classify numnahs? Numnahs are classified on account of their styles and sizes besides color. The various sizes of numnahs are small, medium, large and Extra Large. The various styles in numnahs are GP, Dressage or DR and WH or Working Hunter. The numnahs are available in either white color or black, brown or gray.
There are some variations of a subtle nature in the manufacturing standard of these saddlepads. Therefore, when you go for a numnah you may buy one in very lightweight wool. You can order a numnah that uses a contrasting color scheme for the quilt and the wool. Then there are numnahs that are made in self-colored wool. There are half wool quilts as well where the pressure points are covered by the wool lining so that additional comfort is provided to the horse.
There are half numnahs as well. These ensure that the leg contact is good and the pressure points are adequately cushioned. Such half numnahs are made using wool on both the sides. There is reduced saddle pressure also because of this thereby offering relief to horses that have very tender and sensitive backs. Half numnahs are also available in light wither single wool that can be used with or without a pad.
