Roper Boot
Boots for Horseback Riding?
Hi, I haven't ridden in like 15 yrs. but I'm about to start again. My last pair of boots were Tony Lama ropers. Since I'm a little outta touch after so long I'm wondering what does everyone wear now. Lace ups, plain ropers, Ariats, Justins, etc. ?
I'm just riding for fun - maybe a little Trail Riding.
Ropers are classic boots that are always in style...Fashion changes but the classics are well just that Classic...
Seriously though wear what is most comfortable.

Dingo Boots: Different Styles of Cowboy Boots
Cowboy boots are normally used as Riding Boots and come in various styles and designs. Typically, they are short in the front and have a high shaft. They even have different sizes of their heels, and usually do not have any lacing. Most of these Dingo Boots are good quality of leather and materials such as different skins of animals. This is what makes them unique from the regular cowboy boots in the market.
These boots are normally made in different styles like the classic or western and the roper. The Western Style has the shaft stretching up to the middle of the calf, the heel is formed in an angular design and it is about an inch high. But this heel can sometimes be smaller too. Majority of these Dingo Boots are pointed and narrow on the front. These regular features can be modified based on the customer’s preference.
On the other hand, the Roper Style boots are normally designed with a shaft that is attached above the ankle but does not move to the middle of the shaft. As for the toe area of the boots, it has a rounded shape but it can be transformed based on the latest fashion trend. The heels are formed to properly fit the soul of the boots and are retained short in height. Occasionally, they are tailored with straps to provide better hold to the feet of the rider and do not go off easily. But the rider can adjust the tightness according to how fit he want his boots to be.
Dingo Boots have started in the 70’s fashion scene. They are manufactured by Dan Post Boots, a leader in making Top Quality durable cowboy boots. They make several unique pieces that will surely make the clients appreciate the value of their fashion investment. Thus, more and more riders have learned to love these boots since they are very versatile and at the same time provide ultimate comfort when they wear them.
To be able to spot a good quality pair of cowboy boots, it is always wise to buy from a reputable manufacturer who has been in this type of business for a long time. But if you have the chance to wear it on, then you should definitely buy it immediately. There are some clients who prefer to patronize those that they have been trusting for years, but others might not even discover the nice features that can also be found in other brands.
The fit of the boots will all depend on the toe shape. If the toe of the boots is narrow, then they are not that comfy to wear. But you can still enjoy wearing this type of style by getting a half size bigger pair of boots. Alternatively, those that have rounded shape can give you all the comfort that you can have when you put them on.
Apart from that, the materials used will determine the comfort that a rider can get when he wears the boots. Leather ones have a tendency to form the shape of the rider’s feet when they frequently use the boots. It is wise to get a good pair that fits well so that they do not extend and slip off later on.
