Stanley Home Products Cleans Up with Stainless Steel Pads

Mom's lasagna is the best stuff that you will ever taste short of the ambrosia of the gods. It is made with some lasagna noodles, tomato sauce, and a few other things, but it is the most heavenly victual in the world. When folks come over Ma always makes the lasagna and without fail they will look at her red hair and freckles and wonder where the Italian is. The only problem is that the stainless steel pads that mom uses to clean the pans leave the dishes scratched and rusty. She says that she wants to get one of those Stanley Home Products catalogs so she can see if they have anything that will help out.

I tell her that she is operating under a misnomer (I think that means what I think it means.) These here ain't stainless steel pads if they leave a rusty trail behind and give her the fits when she has to re-clean her sink because of the big reddish spot the supposed stainless steel pads left on it. She seems to think that the Stanley Home Products folks are some kind of miracle workers and can save her from this constant mess. She says there won't be any more lasagna until she can clean the pans without leaving a big mess in her kitchen.

So I sneak that Stanley Home Products rag up to my room, because Dub (that’s me) has got to have his weekly intake of pasta. Without that the corned beef and cabbage will be a constant because that and potatoes is all that mom can make besides the lasagna. I want to make sure that they have the stainless steel pads and then I can be the family hero and reap the rewards of a job well done. Nobody wants to have the same old Irish fare that we normally get; we all enjoy the occasional taste of Italy that the lasagna brings with it.

I guess she will also want these little miracle makers to be able to clean messes on other things other than her pots and pans too. They will have to be gentle to the hands (ma may look rough but her skin is dainty) and have a price that she can easily afford. Stanley Home Products had better be the answer because I am in need of that spicy Italian smile maker. I can smell the cabbage cooking from here, and it's already making my toes curl.
